GOP Introduces ‘No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act’

GOP Introduces ‘No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act’

Question.... Should Christians participate in employer offered healthcare plans that provide for abortions? Are we not subsidizing abortion coverage for others by participating in healthcare plans that cover abortions?

Honestly, I have never thought of this before… and I don’t even know if my employer provided healthcare plan provides for coverage of abortions or not, but I would be very surprised if it does not.

What would happen if Christians started demanding a separate healthcare plan that does not subsidize abortion coverage for others? Often we feel powerless to stop abortion, and we think there is nothing we can do… But perhaps there is something significant we can do to stop abortion in this nation; and that is to stop participating in healthcare plans that provide coverage for abortions.

If Christians all across this nation stood up and demanded that their healthcare plans did not contain coverage for abortions; I truly think we might make a real difference.

Grace for the Journey,

LeAnn,

Yes, I suspect that most every healthcare policy out there will cover abortions. Thanks for the link to the group that is trying to change this.
